IEEEXtreme is a global challenge in which teams consist of up to three IEEE Student members compete against each other. Each team proctored by an IEEE member and often supported by an IEEE Student Branch. This year, IEEEXtreme 9.0 programming competition was held on the 24th of October 2015 at 00:00:00 UTC and include 29 brainstorming problems. Among almost 2000 participant teams, Iran has been registering 21 teams from six different schools including: Sharif University of Technology, University of Tehran, Amirkabir University of Technology, Isfahan University of Technology, Alzahra University and Islamic Azad University of Yazd. 8 teams from Iran ranked below 300, and 4 teams in top 100. We are all very excited to congratulate among all participants. TeamName members were Mr. Majid Farhadi, Mr. Saeed Ilchi and Mr. Mohammad Ostadmohammadi, all senior undergraduate students. In the last two previous IEEEXtreme events, only 4 teams from Iran have been participating. The overwhelming rise the number of participating teams is indebted to the efforts done by IEEE Iran Section Student Activities Committee to promote the event via Student Branches. This Committee would like to thank Ms. Mojgan Azizi, Mr. Hussein Shirvani, Mr. Mohammad Hossein Babaee, and all IEEE Student Branches for their endeavors and cooperation who did their best in holding this event.
